HSE (Health safety and environment) Manager Offshore. Hamburg, Germany

My client is one of the leading manufactures of onshore and offshore wind turbines. They are major players in the wind turbine market. They have a solid and well respected reputation that has ensured that they secured their place in the industry on an international level. As the market continues to grow they intend to continue to expand their market share and develop their product so that it remains a competitive and revolutionary product.

Position Overview:

The successful candidate will be an experienced HSE manger; they will be responsible for providing expertise and management services to assist with the production of offshore training, the examination of offshore security concepts and the preparation of HSE documentation.

Responsibilities:

• ·         The design and implementation of HSE management systems with a focus on the offshore wind industry
• ·         Examining and improving current offshore security concepts
• ·         Working to produce an effective offshore training programmes
• ·         Production of fire and helicopter rescue concepts
• ·         Ensure the training and understanding of all HSE to clients and contractors
• ·         Working as a key figure within the company as a HSE principle advisor and ensure the strength and reputation of the company department as a whole

Education

Strong academic background with appropriate HSE certificates

Core Requirements

• ·         Must be fluent in English
• ·         A  minimum of 8 years working experience in a HSE role
• ·         A minimum of 3 years work experience within the offshore industry
• ·         Offshore Medical certificate
• ·         Experience in handling work permit procedures
• ·         G41
• ·         Offshore survival training qualification

General requirements

• ·         Attention to detail and a desire to work to the highest standard in order to ensure the safety of all involved
• ·         Strong skills with report writing presentation and working with all levels within a company.
• ·         Extensive knowledge of the offshore industry
• ·         Willingness to travel and work offshore
