HR Business Partner

Job Description
The Human Resources Business Partner reports directly to the VP of Human Resources and will provide ‘real time’ solutions, HR tools and expertise for executives, managers and employees as they lead, manage and work to achieve business & technical goals. The Business Partner is responsible for administering human resource procedures focused on recruiting and staffing, change management, employee relations, performance management and other activities needed to carry out the company’s human resources strategy, goals and programs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop recruiting and retention strategies.
• Develop and run a robust staffing process and create a pipeline of talent.
• Deliver regular HR programs and processes using sound understanding of the business needs of the organization. This includes performance reviews, promotion process, pay review, hiring and headcount management.
• Train managers and operations staff to leverage their own networks to attract the best talent.
• Facilitate clear, effective communication of corporate messages, policies and practices in ways that build commitment (as opposed to compliance).
• Provide input for HR programs, processes and policies to improve efficiency and effectiveness specifically for the operations organization.
• Interpret and apply HR programs, processes and policies for individual situations. Maintain core integrity and purpose of HR programs, processes and policies to achieve consistent standards.
• Provide managers and employees with HR tools and knowledge to increase their professional effectiveness. Work with them to solve immediate issues in real-time.
• Work closely with key managers to identify and address employee relations, performance and group issues in ways that build healthy, and productive work environments.
• Lead HR initiatives and task forces as assigned.
• Model leadership, management and communication skills for the rest of the organization.

Job Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years Human Resources Business Partner experience.
• Minimum of 3 years managing a high-tech recruiting process.
• Thorough knowledge of current federal, state, and local Human Resources-related laws, regulations, trends and issues.
• Ability to forge and maintain strategic business partnerships.
• Ability to interface with all levels of employees in the organization.
• Ability to analyze data and create and communicate different ways to meet desired business objectives.

Minimum Qualifications
• Knowledge of basic HR: benefits, compensation, employment laws and regulations, job definitions, training and development.
• Proven experience in recruiting and staffing.
• Demonstrated ability to understand basic business practices, metrics and concepts.
• High tech and manufacturing experience is very desirable.
• Ability to communicate effectively with data, words and pictures, both verbally and in writing.
• Flexibility. Working in a global organization requires flexible work hours and openness to different cultures and work styles.
• Firmness. Ability to hold the line on non-negotiables in a respectful way that does not create unnecessary resistance.
• Integrity. Willing to take responsibility for mistakes. Delivers on commitments.
