Health & Safety Officer

Our client is a civil engineering and building contractor and one of Scotland’s largest privately owned companies of its kind.  An exciting opportunity has recently arisen to join it’s team, where structured working and a good environment are on offer.
Your duties will include inspection and auditing of multi-million pound civil engineering contracts, and the provision of authoritative advice and assistance.  This will involve providing HSE advice, CDM Regulations compliance, and running and developing the company safety system.  In addition you will develop and deliver training, and produce risk assessments and method statements, including COSHH, manual handling etc.
The NEBOSH Diploma is preferred and NEBOSH construction certificate is required.  You will be IT literate and hold a full driving licence.  It is expected that you will need at least 3 years experience in a similar role within the construction or civil engineering fields in order to carry out this position effectively.
