Head of US Programs, North America

This is an exciting opportunity for an entrepreneurial leader with experience working with corporations and governments in the US and Canada to join an international not- for-profit. Reporting to the North American Director of The Climate Group, this professional will develop and deliver the North American strategy to enhance closer collaboration with our networks of business and sub-national climate leaders to drive greater greenhouse gas emissions reductions. Given the latest IPCC 1.5C report on global warming, the need to accelerate action is paramount.  

In this key position, you will work closely with the Executive Director of North America and be part of our global Business Action team, which uses best-in-class approaches to develop programmatic interventions to advance the clean energy future and to help our partners accelerate their leadership and ambition on climate action. Our current corporate campaigns drive renewable electricity, energy productivity and electric mobility. In addition, you will work closely with the global Under 2 Coalition team which works directly with government partners to drive net-zero ambition and action, through pathways, policy, and transparency. The role also works in close collaboration with The Climate Group’s global cross-functional teams (Communications, Fundraising, and our regional offices).
