We are looking for a Head for the IEA Press Unit. Energy has become a central concern of policy making in most countries. It is a driver of economic growth, social and scientific progress and human well-being. IEA analysis has been showing for some time that without major changes to the way we use and produce energy, we will run untenable risks to our collective energy security, in the form of geopolitical and social instability, to our economic well-being and to the environment. The Head of the Press Unit will have a key role in getting these messages across so that governments, industry and individuals act now to meet these challenges.
The chosen candidate will manage a small team of enthusiastic professionals reporting to the Head of the Communications and Information Division. S/he will work in close collaboration with colleagues in the Agency, in particular the Publishing Manager and the Electronic Media and Content Manager.
