Forum for the Future is a non-profit organisation working globally with business and government to create a sustainable future. We aim to transform the critical systems that we all depend on, such as food, energy and finance, to make them fit for the challenges of the 21st century. We are looking for an exceptional individual to lead and accelerate our sustainable finance programme. Finance is one of the three key systems we are working on. We want to contribute to a significant shift in the allocation of capital towards activities that are aligned with a sustainable economy. Our focal areas are incentivizing long-term thinking; developing innovative financial solutions to sustainability problems; and bringing in fresh thinking from outside the traditional finance sector. This senior level role will require an excellent knowledge of the way the finance system works including investment, banking, and insurance (UK and/or globally); experience in leading and delivering cutting edge projects; good team management and excellent business development skills. A basic knowledge of systemic change and innovation is also desirable, as is being sympathetic to looking for radically different and new solutions for the sector. This is a varied and creative role, requiring the ability to lead strategy development, increase our income by 20% per year over four years, manage a small team, build a portfolio of innovative finance projects, and increase the impact and profile of our work with key stakeholders. The appointed person will be a senior member of the Forum team, ideally placed to create a really profound impact. Application pack:
