WWT is looking to recruit an experienced HR professional to support our staff and managers to ensure we fulfill our objectives. Reporting to the Support Director, and with a team of four, the post holder will be responsible for the effective management of the function, continuing its development into an effective and efficient support service to the organisation.  In addition, this role will be responsible for implementing the volunteer strategy, to ensure that the 800 plus volunteers are effectively recruited, supported and managed in accordance with the Trusts needs.

The successful candidate will have varied generalist HR experience, will naturally communicate in a coaching and supportive manner in line with our principles, will be able to find pragmatic solutions to people issues, be able to manage large long term projects, have in-depth employment law, pensions and HR systems knowledge, and will have experience of reward strategy, communications strategy and culture change. Experience of a seven day operation covering several geographical sites will be an advantage, as will experience of management and leadership development and organisational development. The role is based at WWT Slimbridge; however travel to each centre is required in order to fulfil the needs of the role.
