USGBC is currently seeking an energetic and enthusiastic professional with a passion for green education to coordinate the efforts of advancing the Council’s mission of market transformation through its Greenbuild365 website. This new website is an online portal to green building education. Individuals can find educational courses, get grab-and-go information on building green, and access education session recordings from the annual Greenbuild Expo.
The Greenbuild365 Coordinator position reports directly to the Director of Education Programs. Primary responsibilities includes managing website development and updating projects including adding content, features and functionality to ensure the website is the most accurate and useful tool for individuals searching for green building information.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
Manage and update website content with new courses, case studies, documents and information.
Input course information, updates, and learning objectives for new USGBC education offerings.
Act as project lead for website updates and additions including coordinating timelines and communications with vendors and staff across departments.
Identify educational needs and usability preferences for key audiences to inform ongoing content development and site improvement efforts.
Prepare copy for website feature articles and promotional announcements
Assist in developing and maintaining the virtual tradeshow component of the Greenbuild365 website.
Coordinate with other USGBC departments to ensure ongoing promotion, funding, and functionality of the website.
Maintain current data, program documents & resources on USGBC education web site.
Assist with submissions of USGBC courses for continuing education credit with all appropriate organizations.
Handle customer service tasks as needed.
Accept additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Education Programs.
Qualifications/Skills:
Minimum 3 years experience in a professional work environment
Bachelor’s degree required
Excellent written communication and editing skills required; Web editing experience preferred
Project management, tracking and reporting skills desired
Education or professional development background desired
Green building or environmental experience desired
Ability to work well independently and as a member of a team
Commitment to serving customer needs and creating positive user experiences
Financial management and reporting experience
Creative, innovative approach
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment handling multiple tasks and critical deadlines
Strong Computer skills including demonstrated proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, database management
Commitment to USGBC mission
