Grant Making Coordinate grant making initiatives by providing flexible, responsive, and informed support to program staff, field colleagues, granteees, and applicants. Maintain awareness of progress of project design and approval/rejection status of projects in relevant portfolios, informing the Director GMU of deadlines, targets, and changes in workflow. Timely and accurate entry of LOIs into GEM Direct correspondence with applicants regarding eligibility requirements; Liaise with CInd external program staff to facilitate proposal submission Process, review, and track risk assessments & associated compliance monitoring recommendations taking into account grantee past performance Agreement & amendment preparation Legal review coordination with the Director GMU Procure grantee signatures, managing timing of signatures with GMU quarterly, year end, and regional targets. Grant Management Support grantee compliance with terms of Grant Agreements, and facilitate achievement of individual fund’s compliance targets. Address and resolve issues of administrative and financial compliance with grantees communicating issues of concern to field colleagues, Director GMU and Divisional staff as appropriate. Training and ongoing support to grantees and field colleagues on grants processes and compliance targets Run Top Ten reports and prepare analysis for appropriate Funds Assist grantees with financial and technical aspects of reporting; review financial reports for accuracy & compliance Request disbursements on a timely basis, confirm disbursements with grantees and ensure accuracy of disbursement information in GEM. Coordinate the grant close-out process Particpate in site visits Conduct and/or support desk reviews.
Process/System Support Maintain awareness of user needs for GEM and Grantwriter, proposing fixes and improvements when necessary. In collaboration with the GMU, identify training needs of grantees and field colleagues on GEM and Grantwriter. Ensure timely and accurate information entry into GEMEnsure information & workflow in GEM follow procedures defined by CI and the GMU Record GEM and Grant Writer problems through CI’s IT ticketing system Track resolution of submitted tickets Maintain accuracy of training tools for grantees and field colleagues Liaise with GMU Coordinators to identify common problems for discussion with IT.
QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Experience: Minimum of a Bachelor degree and 1+ years of related work experience required Required Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills Strong computers skills including MS Office, databases, file management, and proficiency in Excel Great attention to detail Strong organizational skills Proficiency in French or Spanish preferred. Some knowledge of environment and international affairs is desirable.
