JOB PURPOSE/PRIMARY OBJECTIVES The Graduate Project Manager shall be responsible for: Projects assigned to them by the Senior Project Managers. Initially the role will be to assist the Senior Project Manager with the successful delivery of wind farm projects within the UK, with the aim, once sufficient experience is gained, to undertake management of their own projects. The recording and monitoring of the project costs, including raising invoices, agreeing variations in scope of services and monitoring third party costs. Ensuring that the project is managed in a safe and professional manner and is undertaken in compliance with relevant Health and Safety legislation. In addition to the project management role there will be opportunities to assist other departments within the group in an advisory capacity.
KEY TASKS/DUTIES Project Management Responsibility Place, monitor and manage contracts for the civil, electrical infrastructure, grid connection and turbine supply and erection. Production and /or supervision of an agreed project programme. In conjunction with site staff, manage quality systems for the control of the on site and off site operations. Fulfil the role of Planning Supervisor/Project Coordinator, and Principal Contractor (if applicable), including the production and maintenance of the construction phase Health and Safety Plan, and the associated implementation and supervision. Production of monthly progress reports monitoring progress against the agreed programme and the financial status of the respective sub-contracts. Administration of the contract valuations and the issuing of respective payment certification. Liaise with local authorities as and where required to facilitate construction of the works to programme and budget, and to ensure compliance with planning conditions. Provide design and construction documentation as required by the project, including conducting site surveys and inspections. Assist the project team with the inspection and commissioning of the each of the respective elements of the project to ensure compliance with the contract. Undertake the inspection of the project where suitable and/ or witness testing of specialised elements with the production of supporting documentation. Production of complete and comprehensive documentation relating to the project and infrastructure, to be compiled in the project Health and Safety File. Production of the project final account detailing any variations. Agree a final account statement for each of the respective contractors with final account and practical completion certificates.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS Strong project management skills. Excellent communication, report writing and interpersonal skills. Organised, thorough and diligent. Computer literate with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project and other specialist computer packages (AutoCAD, Workspace, CRMs, etc). Ability to perform under pressure. Full driving licence as extensive travel throughout the UK will be required. It will be beneficial if the applicant can demonstrate a commitment to renewable energies either by curricular or extra-curricular activities.
EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS Masters or Honours degree in an appropriate Engineering discipline. Gradute membership of ICE, IEE, IMechE, or other UK Engineering Council bodies. Good background in general engineering consultancy or contracting, in particular 1-2 summers of good experience, or 1 year full time employment. Full UK permit for work or residency.
