The Division
Our Coastal & Rivers team is continually in demand worldwide for projects involving coastal and river management and the enhancement of the environment. Our broad knowledge and experience enable us to find practical solutions for the most complex of problems, for example flood risk management against the backdrop of climate change and coastal erosion.
Job description
You will work within a team where you will be expected to take on responsibility at an early stage, undertaking various tasks including contributing to the production of surveys, reports, studies and construction schemes within the field of coastal and rivers engineering. The role may include numerical modelling, design, checking of other work, inspection, surveying (at clients sites) and preparation of material (figures, tables and text) for reports.

Your involvement in and contribution to the project team which may include other divisions within the company will be actively encouraged. You may also be involved directly with individual clients with whom you are expected to promote a positive working relationship and be expected to plan your own time and assist the team leader and project managers in determining the resource requirements for your work.

Key Responsibilities will include
Playing a positive role within the Team and Advice Group
Producing reports and studies
Numerical Modelling
Designing coastal and rivers erosion and flooding solutions, including appropriate calculations
Drafting and checking drawings produced by Technicians
Managing own time
Your qualifications and experience
Ideally applicants will be a MEng Civil Engineer, with an enthusiastic interest in Coastal & Rivers/ Flood Risk Management. Additionally some relevant work experience in the Construction Industry and relevant Project Experience for Coastal & Rivers would be desirable, but not essential.
