Description

My client  is a globally leading high-tech group and have a track record in manufacturing  field-proven equipment and end-to-end manufacturing lines for the

mass production of thin film silicon solar modules. They are looking to recruit a global strategic buyer to their team.

Core Criteria:
My client is seeking a senior individual with a strong track record in sourcing PV and/or capital equipment

  • ·         Manage key accounts (selected global strategic suppliers)
  • ·         Drive the performance of existing suppliers and qualify new suppliers based on cost, quality, and timely delivery measures
  • ·         Negotiate and settle frame contracts on international scale
  • ·         Implement and execute defined cost roadmaps for key suppliers
  • ·         Own the full purchasing process from execution of inquiries to tracking of open orders/contracts (order confirmation, delivery tracking, invoice verification, maintenance of supplier and material master data in SAP)
  • ·         Actively support supplier claim management
  • ·         Represent Solar Global Sourcing within the Oerlikon Group and act as functional lead for the Asian

Education:-

  • ·         Engineering or economics background and qualification in procurement

Core Requirements:-

  • ·         At least 5 years’ international experience in operational and strategic sourcing
  • ·         Advanced knowledge of SAP R/3 MM and MS Office tools
  • Ability to travel
  •  

General Requirements:-

  • ·         Ability to manage multiple projects in an environment of constantly changing priorities
  • ·         Result-driven, persistent, and tough negotiator

Key Skills:-

  • ·         Solar PV, procurement, purchasing and/ or sourcing experience, negotiations experience, team leadership, advanced knowledge of SAP R/3 MM and MS Office tools, fluency in German and a good level of spoken English
