The Collaborative Labeling and Appliance Standards Program (CLASP) is an international nonprofit organization that works to reduce the environmental impacts of energy-using products as the primary resource for appliance energy efficiency standards and labeling (S&L) worldwide. CLASP organizes teams of local and international experts to provide best practice technical advice to governments and organizations working to develop energy efficiency S&L policies. CLASP's projects result in major improvements in the energy efficiency of appliances, lighting, and equipment; enhanced institutional capacity to develop energy efficiency S&L policies and programs at local, regional, and international levels; considerable reductions in electricity consumption; and significant abatement of greenhouse gas emissions. Global Research Manager The Global Research Manager w ill coordinate CLASP’s technical and policy analysis of energy-using products. S/he will serve as an integral member of CLASP’s research team in the development, management, and implementation of CLASP’s cross-cutting programmatic work and global research from conception through policy engagement. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the technical aspects of energy efficient appliances and equipment, and a strong record in the design, analysis, and/or testing of those products, including energy efficiency aspects. The ideal candidate will also have a strong background in the policy governing energy-using products, excellent communication skills, and experience managing people and research for a growing, global organization. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Global Research Manager will serve as a key technical resource, assist with program budgets and administration, and help manage CLASP’s external partnerships.
