Global Purchasing Manager, Germany

My client  is a leading solar photovoltaic(PV) manufacturer and over a number of years built up a strong track record in the manufacturering of both mono and poly crystalline silicon and thin-film solar photovoltaic(PV) modules. They are looking to recruit a senior individual to oversee their entire solar photovoltaic(PV) purchasing.

Responsibilities:-

• Establish internal and external purchasing development plan, including material purchasing, price control suppliers management
• Negotiating terms and closing deals to achieve optimal cost situation
• Secure the availability of materials and services for production globally
• Lead all purchasing activities for solar Photovoltaic(PV) business in globally
• Develop and implement strategies to reduce costs and currency exposure while assuring required capacity
• Request bids from suppliers for scope outlined by technical staff
• Perform supplier management based on standard processes and procedures to identify the best suppliers and to secure an optimized supply chain
• Ensure all correct procures followed and all regulations are met
• Responsible for inspection and forecast of the raw material price

Requirements:-

• You will have at least 5-10 years experience, with an excellent track record
• Must have strong educational background (Business Studies or similar dicispline, makreting or economics, MBA would be desirable)
• Proven success in strategic and operation roles
• Experienced in management and leadership in procurement/manufacturing roles
• Knowledgeable in procurement processes for solar Photovoltaic (PV) equipment
