They are currently looking for a Global Head of Sales that has significant experience in power electronics with a specific focus on inverter technology development. Due to the nature of the role, my client is somewhat flexible on location.
Position Overview:

A successful candidate will have a proven track record in devising and implementing sales strategies and in managing a successful sales force within the inverter industry. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Head of Sales or Director level candidate to make the transition into a globally established player with an internationally focussed position where you will be responsible for the global sales force.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and direct global sales force and oversee sales operations worldwide for my clients PV inverter product lines.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans, forecasts and performance goals to achieve corporate objectives for products and services
- Develop and manage sales operating budgets
- Analyze and control expenditures of division to conform to budgetary requirements
- Develop and recommend product positioning, packaging, and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long-term market share
- Interface between sales management, representatives, customers, and subcontractors to provide project direction and increase sales
- Manage performance of sales management and representative organizations
- Oversee monthly sales forecasts and sales strategies for each region
- Review and analyze sales performances against programs, quotes and plans to determine effectiveness
- Work with Product Management to provide accurate product development feedback
- Conduct market analysis and feasibility and risk assessment studies on a daily basis
- Will be expected to proactively source new clientele and generate new revenue streams
- Negotiating terms and closing deals
Education:
- Bachelor`s degree in business administration, engineering (i.e electrical) or comparable – Master`s degree is preferred
Core Requirements:
- You will have at least 8-12 years of sales experience, with a track record in driving sales
- You will have at least 3-6 years renewabale energy sales experience, with a focus on the inverter markets
- Ability to work under deadline pressure and deliver high quality results
- Proven ability to communicate across all levels of an organization
- Ability to manage multiple projects
- Proven ability to manage and direct staff, including recruitment, selection and development to achieve company goals and objectives
- Demonstrate in-depth sales and marketing techniques and financial principals
