In this position, you will have the opportunity to:
· Actively participate in daily safety meetings
· At the direction of the workshop manager, work with other workshop employees to satisfy production demands
· Safely and efficiently disassemble and reassemble gearboxes, mainshafts, and other drivetrain components
· Keep workshop environment clean and orderly at all times
· Ensure all tools, equipment, and work areas are cleaned and organized daily
· Complete safety, quality, and other company required reports for each job
To be successful in this position, you will need:
· At a minimum, the following certifications: CPR / First Aid, OSHA-10, forklift operation, overhead crane operation, lock-out / tag-out; or candidate must be capable of attaining these certifications
· 1+ years of hands-on experience with wind energy and/or industrial gearbox service.
· Familiarity with metric measuring tools, hydraulic torque wrenches, pneumatic impact guns and other hand tools
· Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and diagrams
· Valid Texas Drivers License, proof of insurance, and clean driving record
· Ability to apply good judgment and understanding of work instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
· Welding, oxygen / acetylene torch operation, and general metal fabrication skills a plus
