Description |
If you’re a gun fundraiser (and we hope you are), then you’ve cut your teeth working for great causes. Maybe you have a job doing that right now. But like many of us, you began this year breathing the smoke of bushfires like this country has never seen before. You know the stakes. Australia is the world’s #1 exporter of coal and gas. Greenpeace is a community of over 1 million Australians working to change that. We want you on board. We have put together a new fundraising team with a goal to scale up our work to meet the climate and environmental crisis. Now we need an excellent fundraiser to lead them. Is that you? For fifty years Greenpeace has changed the world for the better, winning campaigns for life on earth from the Arctic to the Amazon. And we’ve done that while remaining 100% independent and people-powered. That’s why the role of Fundraising Director is so important. We’ve recently completed a significant technology upgrade, so you’ll have strong data and technology tools at your disposal. More importantly, we have a great team and a can-do culture. You’ll also be plugged into an international community of Greenpeace experts from across the world to share ideas. In other words, this is an immense opportunity to make a positive impact on the world. We’re ready if you are. THE ROLEAs Fundraising Director, you’ll manage a team of 10 to deliver an excellent fundraising program, including everything from major gifts and bequests to large-scale regular giving. This is a key position in the organisation’s leadership team. You’ll report directly to our CEO, David Ritter. THE IDEAL CANDIDATEWe are searching for someone able to inspire a thriving team culture that encourages inclusion, ambition, and innovation. Skills required: Analysis. You know how to gather and interpret data. You value empirical decision-making. Creativity. You’re capable of leading creative teams that come up with novel ideas that capture the imagination of donors; it’s what Greenpeace is known for. Strategy. You will have the fundraising experience to analyse quickly, and to prioritise programs that will generate the best returns. Leadership and learning. You’ve had some time to practice your leadership skills and you’ll fit into our culture, which is about seeing everything as an opportunity to learn and improve. Collaboration. If you like to guard your own patch, then this job isn’t for you. We need someone who understands that there is greater power and resilience in a collaboration and wants to work closely with our campaigners and activists to create impact. WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOUGreenpeace also offers employees an inclusive, supportive and safe working environment along with numerous benefits, including:
