Norfolk County Council as Local Lead Flood Authority (LLFA) is responsible for reviewing drainage strategies and flood risk assessments submitted as part of planning applications for major developments. We provide technical advice to Local Planning Authorities to assist with their decision making and engage with applicants and their consultants to influence designs that are sustainable and do not increase flood risk. 

We are looking for two individuals who are currently working in a technical role either as an assistant engineer/engineer/technician (or equivalent), who has experience in interpreting information submitted on engineering drawings/plans. This however could be in a hydrology/landscape/building/highway/architectural/planning/estates context. You will also be confident in assessing complex technical information against national and local polices, guidance and best practice; be able to demonstrate your ability to manage your own workload and meet strict deadlines; and have a clear and coherent communication style.
