The purpose of the consultant position is support the agriculture, forestry, and other land use (AFOLU) components of the LEDS through an analysis to determine the emissions baseline, business-as-usual (BAU) scenario, and low emission development scenarios; writing relevant AFOLU-focused sections of the LEDS report; and preparing and delivering presentations to key Fijian government and non-government stakeholders to inform and lead to decisions on priority LEDS pathways. The AFOLU section of the LEDS will cover at a minimum natural and plantation forests, agricultural activities (livestock, sugarcane, rice cultivation, and other crops), and fertilizer and manure use, where emissions are relevant. (Note, wetlands, including mangrove forests, will not be addressed as part of this assignment but rather by another GGGI consultant.)
