Slapton Ley Field Centre

FSC is an educational charity that delivers its mission of ‘Bringing Environmental Understanding to All’ via its network of Field Centres throughout the United Kingdom.  We currently have a vacancy for a Tutor at our residential Centre at FSC Slapton Ley, nr Kingsbridge, Devon. 

In the important and challenging role of an FSC Tutor you will develop, plan and deliver GCSE and A-level courses, along with environmental courses for younger students. You will be expected to play a major role in the working and organisation of the education team. Therefore previous experience is essential, as is knowledge of the National Curriculum and a degree in Geography, Environmental Science or closely allied discipline.  Training will be given to help you develop your competence.  You’ll also be confident in working both in a team and independently and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.     

Salary is offered in the range of £17,595 - £20,078 p.a. depending upon qualifications and experience. 

Hours of work are based on a notional average of 40 per week.

If resident at the Centre, there will be a deduction for accommodation.
