FSC is an educational charity that delivers its mission of ‘Bringing Environmental Understanding to All’ via its network of Field Centres throughout the United Kingdom.  We currently have a vacancy for a Tutor / Senior Tutor based at our residential Centre at FSC Kindrogan, nr Pitlochry, Perthshire.

In the important and challenging role of an FSC Tutor you will develop, plan and deliver courses at National 3-5, Higher and Advanced Higher grades, GCSE and A-level, along with environmental courses for younger students. You will be expected to play a major role in the working and organisation of the education team. Therefore previous experience is essential, as is knowledge of the Scottish National Curriculum and a degree in geography, biology, ecology, environmental science or closely allied discipline.  Training will be given to help you develop your competence.  You’ll also be confident in working both in a team and independently and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.    If appointed at Senior Tutor level you will take a lead role in developing programmes in one subject area and in training non-specialist staff, and have management responsibilities for specified Centre operations.

Salary is offered in the range of £17,335 - £19,781 p.a. (Tutor Grade) or £18,929 - £21,602 p.a. (Senior Tutor:  Senior Team Member Grade) depending upon qualifications and experience.  If resident at the Centre, there will be a deduction for accommodation.
