FIELD TEACHER (Trainee Tutor/Tutor) Nettlecombe Court Somerset Accommodation Available FSC is an educational charity that delivers its mission of 'Bringing Environmental Understanding to All' via its 17 Field Centres throughout the United Kingdom. We currently have a vacancy for a Trainee Tutor or Tutor at our residential Centre at Nettlecombe Court, Somerset. In the important and challenging role of a Field Tutor you will develop, plan and deliver GCSE and A-level courses, along with environmental courses for younger students. You will be expected to play a major role in the working and organisation of the teaching team. Therefore previous experience is essential, as is knowledge of the National Curriculum and a degree in geography / ecology / environmental science or closely allied discipline. Training will be given to help you develop your competence. You'll also be confident in working both in a team and independently and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Salary is offered in the range of £16,446 - £18,767 depending upon qualifications and experience. If you are resident at the Centre a deduction is made for food and accommodation. Alternatively, if you are interested in becoming a Trainee Tutor with the FSC you should have a relevant degree, plus a full clean driving licence. Training is provided in a supportive working environment in all aspects of fieldwork teaching and group management. Salary £10,734 per annum, with food and accommodation provided. |
