FSC is an educational charity delivering its mission of 'Bringing Environmental Understanding to All' via its 17 Field Centres throughout the United Kingdom. We currently have a vacancy for a Tutor at our residential Centre at Flatford Mill in south Suffolk.
In the important and challenging role of Geography Tutor you will develop, plan and deliver GCSE, AS and A2 level geography courses, along with environmental studies courses for younger students. You will occasionally support our experienced Biology Tutors in delivering ecology courses. You will be expected to play a full role in the day to day activities of the Education Team. You should have a degree in geography, environmental science or closely allied discipline, previous teaching experience and knowledge of the National Curriculum. Training will be given to help you develop your competence. You will also be confident working independently and in a team and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Salary is offered in the range of £16,446 - £18,767 depending upon qualifications and experience. This is a resident position. Accommodation is provided opposite the main Field Centre premises, based on a 10% deduction from salary.
