Excellent CareerOpportunitywith Field Studies Council (FSC) Field Studies Tutor apprenticeship This internally run apprenticeship will train individuals in the skills and attributes necessary to become an effective Educator outside the classroom in as short a time as practicable; enabling further time to be devoted to building experience through the delivery of courses to an increasingly wide range of audiences. To be successful the requirements for this role are: previous experience of fieldwork; experience of working with children or informally with groups; a degree with substantial Ecology, Geography or natural science content and good ICT skills. A full, clean driving licence, with the ability to drive a minibus, and a current first aid certificate will be an advantage. The apprenticeship is based on an 11-month fixed term contract commencing 9th January 2012. The initial 2-month intensive training programme will start at FSC Slapton Ley in Devon. The remaining 9 months of the apprenticeship will be based at any FSC Learning Location in the UK. The training period is essentially unpaid, however you will receive board and lodging free of charge at the designated FSC Learning Location. The next nine months of the apprenticeship will be paid at £243.20 per week, which equates to £12,646 per annum (£9,484 actual per annum), paid over 11 equal monthly instalments.
