Experienced Wind Project Manager, Southeast England

My client is a prominent project developer working on niche projects across the UK. They are currently looking to hire a senior wind energy consultant to provide technical leadership on some of their bigger offshore projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in wind energy and be able to coordinate large multifaceted teams across a variety of projects with ease. My client is keen to see candidates with high levels of technical knowledge in wind turbine structure; this will be essential as my client’s key concern is feasibility and quality assurance. As wind energy is a growing sector in my client’s business, this role offers great potential for quick progression into senior management. This role will suit an ambitious yet technically talented individual looking to join a recognised firm to manage the growth of a developing sector through effective project management and consultation.

Responsibilities will involve but are not restricted to:

• Managing the project structure of commercial offshore projects
• Working with senior management to develop a strong quality assurance policy for all wind farms across their portfolio
• Managing the expansion of the department with regards to up-coming potential investments
• Director the whole cycle process for all utility scale offshore projects undertaken by my client
• Managing project consultants on how to ensure continued profitability for their wind farms.

Requirements:

• 5+ years in renewable energy with particular focus on wind energy
• Proven track record of successful offshore wind project management
• Msc in Mechanical engineering or related field
• Extensive experience working with c-level clients and colleagues
• Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential
