Description

My client is a leading UK wind consultancy currently responsible for a large number of wind farms both onshore and offshore in the UK and in Europe. They are looking to hire an experienced wind farm analyst to conduct EIA and prefeasibility studies on a variety of their wind farms across the country. The ideal candidate will be able to make an easy transition between onsite research and offsite consultations with senor management regarding the feasibility and profitability of my client’s current wind farms. The role is well rounded and will require you take on responsibilities at different stages of the project development therefore you will need to have exposure to end-to-end wind farm project development. You will need to be in constant liaison with the senior manager in charge of wind project development to ensure that they are up to date with progress of my client’s projects.

 

Responsibilities will include but are not restricted to:

  • ·         Conducting in-depth research on the feasibility of wind turbines
  • ·         Liaising with senior management on your findings regarding the feasibility and profitability of the each project and aiding them improve both.
  • ·         Responsible for ensuring that all manufacturers have the most up-to-date requirements for all wind farms both onshore and offshore
  • ·         Developing longing terms strategies for each wind farm project to ensure that long term profitability.
  • ·         Conducting sub-contractor submissions evaluations ensuring that my client works with the most efficient  and technologically advanced suppliers

Requirements:

  • ·         3 + years experience in wind energy
  • ·         Solid background  in wind farm analysis
  • ·         Bsc in mechanical engineering is essential , MSc preferable
  • ·         Some experience in turbine layout design, site classification, GIS, CFD modelling and carrying out due diligence reviews will be of advantage.
  • ·         Excellent report writing skills are also essential
  • ·         Excellent oral communications skills
