Experienced Sustainability Consultant, Northeast England

My client is an engineering and construction firm with projects across the UK and Europe. They are currently looking to hire a sustainability consultant with a proven track record of success in providing extensive sustainability solutions and strategies for large organisations to provide bespoke sustainability solutions for upcoming construction projects. My client is keen to see candidates who have lead sustainability initiatives at a leadership level. The ideal candidate will be able to take charge of producing sustainability strategies for ongoing projects and successfully manage these to completion therefore leadership skills are vital to this position. The role will suit an individual capable of managing a team through the formation of challenging sustainability strategies. This role will also require you to extensively client face as you will need to work directly with clients to develop sustainability strategies suited to the firm.

The role will appeal to an experienced sustainability consultant looking for progression in their career as well as exposure to bigger, more challenging projects across the UK and Europe.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Managing a team of ambitious and technically minded analysts in processing client information used to compile sustainability strategies
• Working with c-level client representatives in judging how best to strategise a sustainability initiative
• Developing sustainability polices through which wider sustainability strategies can be actively followed
• Working with company directors to ensure that CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) policies related to sustainability are further developed and adhered to.

Requirements:

• 4+ years experience in sustainability initiatives
• Experience in sustainability consulting
• Management and leadership experience within the sustainability space, preferably within engineering sector
