Experienced CDM/VCS Project Manager, Malaysia

My client is a large asset management company in the field of global climate change and has produced over one million CERs (Certified Emission Reduction). They are now looking for an experienced individual in the CDM (Clean Development Mechanism) field to work out of their office in Malaysia.

Responsibilities:

• Take the lead in the implementation of new CDM projects
• Supporting the business development team in proactively sourcing new potential CDM and VCS (Voluntary Carbon Standard) projects for development
• Ensuring all documenting and monitoring of information within paperwork is correct.
• Follow projects through to validation and verification
• Provide training to clients with regards to the implementation

Requirements:

• Have solid experience in working on CDM and/or VCS projects in a technical capacity
• Have followed projects from initial assessment through to validation and verification.
• Be willing to travel around Indonesia frequently as well as occasionally to other countries within the SEA region eg. Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore etc
• Capable of working independently and can be relied upon to take the lead when necessary
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
