Join Us as a European Communications Manager

Location: Oxford, UK

Salary: £55,000 - £62,000 per annum

Are you an experienced communicator passionate about sustainability? We're looking for a European Communications Manager to join our global team at Proforest! This is an exciting role where you’ll help shape and implement communications strategies around sustainable agriculture and agri-food systems ??.

What You'll Do

As our European Communications Manager, you’ll:

Develop and implement communications strategies for Proforest Europe.

Support collaboration between technical teams and clients to communicate effectively with key players in the private sector.

Shape media outreach, targeting sustainability, policy, and agri-food systems.

Coordinate European events, creating opportunities for technical teams to speak on topics like EU regulations.

Build relationships and enhance communications with stakeholders, media, and key policy makers.

About You

We’re looking for someone with:

Essential Skills:

  • Experience in corporate communications and private sector engagement.
  • Strong project management skills, both locally and globally.
  • Excellent writing skills for clear and concise communication.
  • Proven experience in media relations, especially within the sustainability and agri-food sectors.
  • Familiarity with communications strategy in a technical context.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience working in an international environment.
  • Knowledge of EU policy-making processes.
  • Language skills in French, Spanish, or Portuguese are a plus!
  • Experience supporting speaking engagements and event organisation.
  • Media database experience.
  • Willingness to travel on occassion.
