Senior Biologist / Project Manager – Environmental – Los Angeles

We are seeking a senior level Biologist / Natural Resource Project Manager who will have the responsibilities of providing project management and technical direction to a variety of environmental compliance projects throughout Southern California. specifically Los Angeles, Riverside and Orange counties.

The ideal individual would have 5+ years experience working as a project manager overseeing the development of CEQA/NEPA compliance documentation. This would include providing project management and technical guidance in the design, writing and development of the overall biological sections of the report, as well as overseeing research, data collection, field surveys, habitat assessments reports, budgets, schedules and scopes of work, training, and client relations. Candidates must have a strong biological skill set with the ability to oversee and participate in field studies, staff coordination and resource management.

Must have previous experience and expertise in CEQA/NEPA compliance regulations, environmental permitting (section 401 & 404), conducting wetland delineations, biological assessments, habitat assessments, permitting, restoration plans and vegetation surveys. Understanding of endangered species throughout the southwest is desired.

Requires a degree in Biology, Ecology, Natural Resources, Environmental Planning or related discipline. Exceptional project management, staff mentoring and written/verbal communication abilities desired.
