The Division | The Environment team has expanded rapidly over the past few years and brings together a wide range of knowledge and capacity in order to provide solutions to the variety of issues related to the environment. Our expertise covers a wide range of environmental areas including soil, water, air, wastes and noise and our consultants have an in-depth knowledge of environmental technology, legislation, regulations, management systems and communications.
In order to assist with ongoing and future business, a (Senior) Environmental Scientist is required at our Dublin office. This position offers excellent opportunities for a dynamic and client focussed individual. | Job description | You will have either specific expertise in an area related to EIA and/or SEA (e.g. ecology, landscape, planning, geomorphology, air quality, noise, etc) or general EIA / SEA experience for a range of projects.
Some of the key tasks to be undertaken in this role include: - Assistance with ongoing EIA, SEA and other related studies for projects in the coastal, freshwater and terrestrial environments, including project management and technical input.
- Assistance with ongoing business development of Irish markets including networking and tendering.
- General support, as required, to the Environment Business Group at other offices, and other duties for which your line manager may reasonably request within the broad parameters of your role.
| Your qualifications and experience | Your qualifications and experience will include:
Essential: A graduate qualification in a relevant discipline. Proven experience of working in environmental consultancy or a related discipline. Good understanding and application of EIA and SEA best practices and undertakings, including project management, that can be demonstrated through previous experience. Effective communicator. A network of relevant contacts and a positive personal reputation.
Desirable: A post-graduate qualification in a relevant discipline. Membership of a chartered organisation.
