We are seeking an Environmental Science Intern for our Overland park, KS office.
This position will be responsible for assisting with field work, report writing, and data analysis. Our successful candidate must have a good understanding of biology or wildlife management and be able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team on a variety of challenging environmental projects.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting with a variety of field work including plant and habitat and bird surveys.
- Research and report writing
Requirements:
- Junior year bachelor’s candidate or Master’s candidate in Biology, Wildlife Management, Environmental Science or a closely related field.
- Availability to work 40 hours a week from late May – August
- Coursework in environmental science, biology, botany, or wildlife management preferred
- Excellent verbal communication and technical writing skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team setting as well as a self-starting individual
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to perform field work including travel
