Environmental Planner - Energy Group Leader
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Salary: $90,000- $140,000


We are seeking a Senior Environmental Planner / Scientist to lead a rapidly growing and evolving Energy Practice Group in the southern California marketplace.

The ideal individual would have at least 10+ years experience in providing environmental planning / CEQA compliance for a portfolio of energy and industrial projects throughout the Southern California marketplace. Candidates must have prior experience directing all aspects of a energy practice group that encompass power/transmission lines, natural gas pipelines, refineries, geothermal, and wind/solar projects. This will include providing group technical direction, divisional business development, budgeting, project scoping, and staff mentoring for the group.

Must have strong working knowledge of state and federal environmental regulatory requirements; including California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Clean Air Act, Section 404, 401 and other laws and regulations applicable to natural resource management.

Requires a degree in environmental planning, biology, science or related discipline. Masters preferred. AICP registration is desired. Candidates must excellent verbal and written communication abilities and have demonstrated leadership abilities in leading division groups. Position is based in the Los Angeles region and offers excellent compensation and benefits.
