The Environment and Forestry Division is looking for an Environmental Engineer to complement their team of experienced scientists and technologists. As a technical resource to multiple projects in Environmental Remediation, Ecosystems, and water sciences, you will be responsible for providing advice and conducting leading edge research. You will be responsible for business development including delivering presentations to clients and developing proposals. You will also conduct your own projects, analyze and interpret research results, apply existing models or generate new ones and report results to clients. You will work closely with our research scientists and technologists to deliver solutions to our clients in a safe and timely fashion. As the ideal candidate, you have: - postgraduate degree(s) in a related engineering field - a professional engineering designation - 3 or more years of relevant experience including business and proposal development - effective interpersonal and communication skills - strong problem solving skills - considerable depth of knowledge and significant experience in two or more of the following areas: - environmental remediation - industrial effluent treatment - constructed wetlands as a wastewater treatment process - treatment processes for mine effluents - treatment of effluents from oil sand processes - biogeochemistry of metals - chemistry/metallurgy - geochemical modelling Apply early!
