Description

My client is a consultancy company that works throughout the world in the renewable energy sector. They are focused the managing, development and engineering area of renewable energy projects.

They are currently looking  for a candidate with industry experience that can work as a consultant on and off the field.  The ideal candidate should have experience not only in the renewable sector but as an industry expert within a consultancy also.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • ·         Working the full cycle of the thermal process including preparation and report writing of potential bid following on with the development and management of the project
  • ·         Carry out due diligence audits and present results to relevant managers
  • ·         Understanding of the environmental actions required for the project
  • ·         Assess and analyze the environmental surveys undertaken for each project and reporting to senior project managers
  • ·         Work with clients and other renewable energy project managers in order to get the best results in terms of the renewable energy project production
  • ·         Coordination of EIA (environmental impact assessment) functions

 

Key Skills

  • ·         BSc (Hons)  minimum in science based degree or equivalent environmental related degree
  • ·         Experience working as a consultant on environmental and / or renewable energy projects
  • ·         Excellent knowledge of the legal requirements and regulations of the environmental projects
  • ·         Working within a strict budget and important deadlines throughout the entire renewable energy project life cycle
  • ·         Power generalist with specific experience in either: biomass, wind farms or hydroelectricity

 

Desirable Attributes

  • ·         Excellent communication and report writing skills
  • ·         Ability to travel with the UK
  • ·         Knowledge of electricity transmission and all of the related regulatory issues that may arise
  • ·         A strong desire to work to the highest quality and standards in order to maintain the reputation of the company
  • ·         Highly organised with a proven ability to project manage where necessary
  • ·         A strong scientific background and skill set
