Supporting our fast-growing power generation portfolio this is a truly pivotal role. Responsible for managing consents, planning applications and Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) you’ll liaise with regulators and other stakeholders to progress programmes to satisfactory conclusions. Evaluating the environmental impact of energy business concepts, you have an analytical mind and the ability to conduct negotiations with government officials, local authorities and regulatory bodies.
Confident and with a keen eye for detail, you have a first degree in environmental, physical or biological science, planning or a related discipline, ideally backed by broad knowledge of town and country planning. Competency in one or more of the technical areas of EIA, such as ecology, would be advantageous. Familiar with environmental or planning legislation, power generation technologies and their potential environmental impacts you’re also creative, self-motivated and ready to go the extra mile.
