Environmental Champion

Our client is has two arms to the business – recycling/waste management and environmental consulting/carbon management for businesses.

 The Role:

The successful candidate will provide help to both areas of work on the following:

-          Recycling scheme launches and staff awareness days

-          Site surveys - these are 4 hour on site audits and include the following:

• collecting data
• walking through the client site and identifying opportunities for improvement
• interviewing staff to understand opportunities and barriers to improved environmental performance

-          Assisting with workshops and seminars

• Various including early evening workshops and client site events 

The right candidate will be an engaging person who really enjoys helping other people to understand the environment and what they can do to improve their business’s performance. There will be a lot of offsite work - they must be happy to work on client sites.  In reality the work will have a certain repetition to it – ideally they will be doing 5 site surveys a week, so they need to enjoy the client contact. 

They need to be numerate as well as a good energetic presenter.

If they work out, there is a permanent role which would be very similar to the above, we anticipate 50% of their week being the consultancy’s site surveys, with the other 50% split between recycling scheme launches and workshop/ seminars.
