AECOM’s Halifax office is currently recruiting staff for the following positions:


  • Intermediate Aquatic Biologist

  • Intermediate Terrestrial Biologist

  • Intermediate Environmental Scientist

Successful candidates will contribute to the growth of AECOM’s Environmental services team in Atlantic Canada. They will work with a dynamic group of experienced environmental professionals and provide planning, field, and reporting support on a variety of environmental projects. 
Specific Requirements:
Ideal candidates will be junior or intermediate professionals with 3 to 8+ years experience in their respective fields and will have solid field experience as well as the following attributes: 

  • Degree in environmental science aquatic or terrestrial biology, terrestrial ecology or related field; for the Environmental Scientist position, a background in hydrogeology would be considered an asset;

  • 3 – 8+ years relevant experience;

  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and conduct multiple projects including field work studies;

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the preparation of reports;

  • Basic understanding and appreciation of workplace health and safety;

  • Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills;

  • Willingness for both field and office assignments;

  • Works well and professionally within a team while also being self-motivated to conduct tasks independently;

  • GIS experience considered an asset.
