The Engineering Technician will be responsible for the following:
· Submit and pick up permit packages at various building departments;
· Assist with performing site evaluations;
· Develop project folders;
· Enter project information into database;
· Assist Design Engineers with various tasks.
Requirements Include:
· Basic knowledge of electrical systems;
· Adept with Microsoft Windows operating system, Microsoft Office Suite, and general computer knowledge;
· Ability to use standard office equipment such as laser printer, copier, scanner, fax machine, etc.;
· Ability to communicate information effectively, both orally and in writing, and the ability to prioritize and complete a variety of simultaneous tasks within a fast-paced implementation team;
· Detail oriented, self motivator;
· Some construction experience;
· Good driving record;
· Customer service skills;
· Occasionally, driving of a personal vehicle will be required, with mileage being reimbursed by REC.
Ideal candidate will have:
· Experience in the solar industry;
· Hand drafting experience;
· Experience working in construction-related industry;
· Experience with permitting/building departments;
· Computer drafting exposure.
