We are looking for you to work in Lima/ Peru:

Engineer for EnvironmentaI lmpact Assessments on Water Resources (m/f/d)
as Integrated Expert

We are looking for you:

Autoridad Nacional del Agua (ANA) requires your expertise in order to protect water resources more effectively. As the state water authority, ANA is tasked with ensuring sustainable, efficient and high-quality water management. The department of quality and evaluation of water resources, where the integrated expert will work, plays a particularly important role in these efforts. The review of the environmental impact assessments is carried out by this department as the competent authority on the water environment and is a key element in safeguarding water resources.

Your tasks will involve:

  • Providing support in identifying needs, designing and implementing training programmes relating to the review of environmental impact assessments (EIA)
  • Assisting in improving the environmental impact assessment review process and supporting reviews of some relevant EIA
  • Providing support in developing new technical instruments for improving ANA's procedures related to the EIA review process
  • Supporting knowledge transfer between ANA and other institutions, such as watershed management authorities

Your profile:

  • University-level degree in Engineering, Agriculture or Environmental Science with a focus on Water Management or another subject that qualifies you for the position
  • Several years' experience working on project impacts on the water environment like water quantity and flow, water quality, fluvial geomorphology, surface waters and wetlands or groundwater
  • Very good Spanish language skill
  • In addition you have the citizenship of an EU member state for reasons to meet the criteria of the Integrated Experts Program
