Energy Efficiency Engineer, Zug, Switzerland

My client is currently looking for an experienced Energy Efficiency Engineer to join their team in Switzerland.

Position Overview:

The energy efficiency engineer will be expected to analyse data to assess building efficiencies and implement changes to improve performance. You will be monitoring energy systems remotely and will be expected to evaluate the reasons for unnecessary energy expenditure and rectify i.e. start/stop times on heating systems etc.

Responsibilities:

• ·         Calculate and assess energy savings of commercial buildings
• ·         Prepare customer proposal development and formal presentations
• ·         Complete energy balance for a potential project, and then undertake calculations of savings that will result from retrofitting the existing configuration
• ·         Negotiate the Lighting and LV specific part of contracts in English
• ·         Work in accordance with UK and European lighting regulations and standards e.g. energy efficiency EN15232
• ·         Work with sales, project management and performance assurance teams effectively

• Monitor building efficiency
• Log, analyze and reporting of energy data of various buildings for international customers
• Support/Training of Remote Engineers in the cluster South-/West Europe
• Analysis and support of technical queries from the customers in respect to energy efficiency

Education:

• ·         Must hold a minimum Diploma qualification in Building Technologies/HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning)

Core Requirements:

• ·         Strong knowledge of basic engineering principles and calculations
• ·         Must understand the contractual aspects of Energy projects
• ·         Have existing knowledge manufacturers construction types, levels of efficiency and their analysis and application
• ·         Understand and undertake energy savings calculates in the context of Lighting and its usage and LV installations

• 3-5years of experience in HVAC technologies, Building Management Systems and electrical installations

General Requirements:

• ·         Must be willing to relocate to Switzerland
• ·         Fluency in German
• ·         Experience in building optimization is preferred
