Energy Efficiency Advisor, New York

My client is a leading consultancy in the energy efficiency space, providing low carbon and offsetting solutions for medium and large corporations across New York, New Jersey and the wider region. They are widening their coverage as demand increases and are looking to hire several people in their New York office including an experienced Energy Efficiency Advisor.

Responsibilities of the role will include, but not be limited to:

• Sourcing new potential clients who need to lower their energy usage and emissions output
• Writing and delivering presentations to such clients and negotiating terms and conditions alongside members of the sales team
• Working on site with clients to plan new strategies to make businesses more energy efficient
• Using cost saving and other selling points to persuade key stakeholders of the benefits of energy efficiency
• Internally, working with other energy efficiency advisors in order to refine old services provided and design new packages for clients based upon demand

Skills and qualifications needed:

• Engineering background, especially civil or environmental engineering, is a must
• LEED a strong advantage
• 5-10 years’ experience in the energy efficiency arena
• Significant success in pitching and winning new mandates alongside members of the sales team
• Educated to Masters level
• US citizen or have relevant US work permits
