Electrical Engineer, Freiburg, Germany

My client is an international manufacturer and distributor of power electronics into the PV and rail markets. They are currently looking for a senior electrical engineer that has significant experience in power electronics with a specific focus on inverter technology development.

Position overview:

My client is looking for an experienced electrical engineer to join their team in Germany and to work on the development solar PV (photovoltaic) inverters and other power electronics. This is an exciting opportunity for a product manager or a R&D (research and development) technician with an electrical engineering background to take the next step in their career in the vastly emerging Solar PV market which is projected to be the biggest market in Europe and globally over the next 10 years.

Responsibilities:

• ·         Work with the R&D team to develop their line of power electronics products with a focus on inverter technology
• ·         Be on hand to provide technical support to the sales teams when advising clients on which product best suits their requirements
• ·         Will be managing multiple projects simultaneously to strict deadlines and to above satisfactory standards
• ·         Use statistical data to conduct failure analysis to better understand and implement production improvement methods.
• ·         Liaise with internal teams in the development and improvement of new and existing technologies.

Education:

• ·         Degree in electrical engineering or equivalent qualification of relevance

Core Requirements:

• ·         Minimum 3-5 years experience, with a proven track record in the development and management of solar photovoltaic (PV) power electronics
• ·         Excellent communications skills
• ·         Must be willing to relocate to Germany

• Must have excellent (spoken, written and reading) English language skills( Italian, German, French or Spanish beneficial)
