Applications are invited for the above position based in Perth.

The key responsibility of this position will be to provide policy advice on a range of issues in Senator Siewert's parliamentary work with a particular focus on her portfolios in Social Policy, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander affairs and Natural Resource Management.

The goal of the position will be to ensure that The Greens maintain their leadership in progressive environmental and social justice policy and legislation at the national level.

The successful applicant will have:

  • relevant tertiary qualifications and experience
  • ability to analyse complex policy issues, combined with excellent written communications skills
  • understanding of Australian politics and parliamentary processes
  • knowledge of Australian Greens policies
  • outstanding time management, prioritisation and organisational skills
  • ability to work effectively as part of a team

A salary between $64,055 - $66,868 plus an allowance of up to $20,246 in lieu of overtime is payable.

A probationary period of 3 months applies.
