Within an international research project on “Metrology for chemical pollutants in
air”, micro-sensors for O3 and NO2 will be validated according to the
requirements of the European Directive of Air Quality. It is also proposed to
group sensors for the air pollutants regulated by Directive 2008/50/EEC in
order to design a complete solution and to take benefit of the possibility of
correcting sensors from the numerous chemical interference they suffer from.
The candidate will be asked to develop an experimental design, to organize and
carry out the needed laboratory and field experiments/measuring campaigns.
She/he will have to apply data treatment able to improve the measurements of
sensors based on modelling of the sensors responses. She/he will be in charge
of the evaluation of the sensor measurement uncertainty based on comparison
with reference methods of measurements.
