EIA Consultant, UK Wide

My client is a national leader in environmental consulting they work across Europe providing consultancy services on a variety of renewable energy project. They are looking for a junior candidate who has a between 1-3years experience with a strong desire to learn effectively to become an exceptional environmental consultant. Key Responsibilities

• ·         Working with a senior environmental consultant across renewable energy projects within the UK in order to become an expert in that field.
• ·         Travelling throughout Europe to various sites to perform environmental permitting on renewable energy projects
• ·         Performing EIA (environmental impact assessments) across renewable energy projects such as biomass, wind farms, hydroelectricity and solar
• ·         The role will involve seeing projects through to fruition from the pre-feasibility point to the management of project.
• ·         Asses and analyze the environmental surveys.

Key Skills

• ·         Must have an MSc in environmental engineering / science or associated degree.
• ·         Written, reporting, presentation and analysis skills are essential as you progress through this role you will depend on these skills more and more
• ·         Ability to travel within the UK to visit various project sites.
• ·         Prior experience working as a consultant within the renewable energy sector or related field.
• ·         A strong understanding of the renewable energy sector wind farms, biomass, solar, hydropower and geothermal.

Desirable Attributes

• ·         Full clean UK drivers license
• ·         Knowledge of electricity transmission and all of the related regulatory issues that may within projects
• ·         I willingness to learn and be trained in order to perform to the highest standard for the benefit of the company and in order to achieve professional goals.
• ·         A strong scientific background and skill set with a focus on the environmental sector
