Description

Conservation International is seeking an intern with excellent writing skills to write and edit content for CI's website, conservation.org. The intern will be supervised and appropriate direction provided. Primary duties: write profiles and feature stories highlighting CI's work; research and prepare "core content" copy, which includes overviews of countries where CI works and issues we work on; and assist with editing/proofing of written materials as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Depending on the duration of the internship, a set roster of writing projects will be determined. Ideally, numerous profiles, features and updated content pages will be created over the course of the internship.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • The intern must be a strong, natural writer.
  • Willingness/ability to conduct phone and in-person interviews.
  • Second language translation skills highly desirable.
  • Candidate must be reliable, self-motivating, and willing to undertake significant editing under supervision.

Working Conditions: While the majority of this internship should take place in Conservation International's offices, the possibility of distance- working is acceptable as well.
