Description

The project aims to study ecology of sloth bear, human-sloth bear conflict and management aspects in Jessore wildlife sanctuary and Mount Abu wildlife sanctuary. Information on land cover, landuse, vegetation composition and structure, den distribution, habitat, food habits and ranging pattern of sloth bears, impacts of biotic pressures, and socio-economic impacts of menace on rural community will be collected. Sloth bear proof power fencing will be developed.
