Job description

MAB is a small, well-established and very busy ecology consultancy, with projects mostly based in Yorkshire & the North East.  You will be undertaking bat surveys, Preliminary Ecological Appraisals, UKHabs Mapping, Biodiversity Net Gain calculations. We provide training and support, including obtaining protected species licensing. We are interested in experienced ecologists as well as total beginners and can negotiate a salary accordingly.  Due to the requirement for in-house training, we are primarily office-based but with flexible working from home where needed.

Requirements

• An interest in ecology
• Strong IT skills
• A full UK driving licence and use of a car
• Living within commuting distance of Thirsk

Desirable

• An honours degree in ecology or related subject
• Bat surveying experience, a knowledge of UK bats and protected species
• CIEEM membership
• Experience of ecological consultancy, report writing
