We are looking for ecologists on a temporary basis from April to June 2012 to carry out survey work and reporting. The work will support projects primarily in the south and east of England and Wales.
As a member of the Ecology Team you will work on a flexible basis focussing on ecology survey, data collection and analysis. This will involve extensive outdoor work. You will be fully supported to ensure that high standards are achieved in all aspects of your work.
You will undertake surveys of some or all of the following groups:
•Phase 1 Habitat •Reptiles •Amphibians •Water Vole •Otter •Badger •Bats •Breeding Birds
Qualifications and Essential Skills: A relevant qualification in a natural science subject; Possession of full current UK driving licence; Excellent attention to detail to ensure accurate data recording skills Capable of working without supervision and under own initiative Prepared to work flexibly and outdoors in all weather conditions Experience of Phase 1 Habitat surveys Experience with protected species surveys(e.g. Newts and reptiles)
Protected species licence (particularly bats) would be an advantage
